The common grazing of herds in the Portuguese village of Regoufe has not changed significantly in form and structure over more than a century. The owners alternate as shepherds according to a schedule, thereby maintaining,  among other things, the traditional community spirit. The dilemma of the sustainable development of this practice arises with the influence of the wider community and re-colonization of the Iberian wolf.
