Through oral tradition, the legend of Veronika Desinićka has been passed on for generations and its layered folk narrative reveals individually and socially shaped attitudes about the institution of arranged marriages, belief in the existence of witches and the condemnations and sanctions of adultery. Through a combined documentary and feature form an attempt is made to reconstruct the spirit of past centuries through the medium of film.
