Modern technologically determined civilization recognizes film as a “look from the outside” for the transposition of the Chukchi mythology into the present environment. An Estonian animator’s narrative of ancient mythical creatures takes us to the region of Chukotka in northeastern Siberia, where the oral culture of local communities, based on a specific value system, has been surviving for millennia.
