The Epiphany is one of the most important Christian feasts; it is celebrated on January 19, according to the Gregorian calendar (January 6, according to the Julian calendar). Traditional beliefs and the modern, post-communist religious practice are united in a new social ritual – swimming for the Holy Cross. This year, the festival was organized for the tenth time in Vlasotince, in southern Serbia.
