The film shows the daily routine in one of the oldest silver mines in Bolivia. Due to severe working conditions, it was called “the man-eater” by many generations of miners, who once had the status of slaves. Even the modern conditions of mining have not reduced the risk of mine collapses and unintended explosions, and the experience of facing death has become an element of the mining folklore.
