Crossing explores the transformative journey of childbirth in the Rio Piraquê-Açu Indigenous village. Between tradition and modernity, elder midwife Keretxchu, with deep ancestral wisdom, and her granddaughters navigate cultural dilemmas and personal choices.

 

Karol Felicio is a filmmaker focused on motherhood, childhood, Indigenous communities, and traditions. She directed the documentaries Crossing and Keretxchu’s Legacy. A journalist (UVV - BR) with a postgrad in Digital Marketing, she trained at Abril Publishing and studied Cinematic Direction at Bucarest Ateliê/SP, exploring identity and human connection in her work.
