A long time before a long time ago, the Indian Ocean islands used to form a huge continent. A long time before a long time ago, in the province of Madagascar, the first man was born. There was a long time ago, just a long time ago, men distorted this story. The time has come to tell the truth.
Laurent Pantaleon focuses his work around the identity and the héritage of Réunion. His cinematic universe could be described as a very visual grammar close to that of the griots. For him, it is the way you tell a story that matters most. Both of his films have been selected for FESPACO, the largest film festival in Africa.
