While travelling from Hokkaido (Japan) to European museums which keep plenty of artefacts that belong to the ancient Japanese Ainu people, we are becoming acquainted with the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of people whose culture is now on the margins of civilization. Cinematic recording is yet another attempt to help the Ainu people survive and maintain their identity and the way of life.
